Zlio Instant Stores:  This French company offers an innovative and easy-to-use system for setting up your own e-commerce shopping site.  You can pick from over 3 million products and install them into a templated store quickly and with little technical expertise.

This can allow anyone with web access to quickly assemble a specialized "boutique" by collecting products relating to a niche interest from a variety of different stores.

For example, I quickly created "Scott Fox's Fishing Center" by selecting fishing reels, lures, rods, guide books, waders, and even cook books from Zlio's huge inventory of available products.  Customizing the graphics to make my new store "fishing friendly" took just another few minutes.  Then my new boutique was open for business!

(Aggregating affiliate program providers into an easy-to-use service like this is such a hot idea that Amazon.com last year pulled out of their relationship with Zlio - rumor is that they didn't like the competition!)

Best of all - Zlio is free and you get a commission on every sale while the sponsoring merchants handle all inventory, production, product delivery, and customer service!

Payloadz: This company specializes in automating the sale and secure downloading of digital files.  Their customer support can be a bit spotty but they are generally reliable. 

Best of all, if you are selling e-books, recipes, patterns, or any sort of document or file-based content, Payloadz can make your life a lot easier by hosting the files, processing transactions, and delivering your sales revenue right to you.

Cafe Press: Instant Merchandise Stores

Cafe Press: An impressively easy to use system that can help you launch a line of personalized merchandise in no time, and with no capital investment or customer service required!

Cafe Press is a combination of on-demand merchandise manufacturer and e-commerce web site store system provider.  By melding those two businesses, they have created a compelling offering for entrepreneurs. 

You can visit CafePress.com and choose from dozens of customizable merchandise items.  These include s-t-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, posters, bags and many, many more.  Then by uploading your own images (slogans, logos, pictures of your cat, whatever!), you can create customized merchandise.  Cafe Press then prints the merchandise on-demand and provides it to you, the new web site store owner.

By then using their web tools to customize a free store front, you can showcase your customized goods for sale to the world.  Cafe Press handles all production, inventory, printing, packaging, shipping, transaction processing, and customer service!  Wow!

(Since I know you're going to ask - the company makes its money because they don't print anything until your customers order.  Then they deduct their wholesale cost from your sales and you get to keep whatever profit margin you set in your retail prices.)

As outlined in my book, Internet Riches, this leaves you free to focus on identifying a target market and creating goods to serve its needs.  By eliminating a huge chunk of infrastructure investment and production logistics, Cafe Press is a great platform for people with ideas. 

Create compelling products and market them well and Cafe Press handles all the rest.  They just send you a check each month!
